Nigel spent two years at the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied Architecture and was introduced to the principles of fine art and design. His teachers encouraged him to take up painting.
NIGEL CUMMINGS is currently pursuing a Dual Masters of Landscape Architecture + Historic Preservation at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before earning a B.A in Urban Studies and Planning and a Minor in Studio Art at the State University of New York at Albany, Nigel spent two years at the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied Architecture and was introduced to the principles of fine art and design. With past experience in Community Engagement, International Contemporary Art Curation, Collection Management, and Exhibition Design, Nigel understands the benefits of an interdisciplinary approach to design.
