Emmanuel Anaiye is a contemporary impressionist painter who lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria.  A native of Kogi state, studied history and international language. his colorful painting of the human face focuses on the challenges people face and captures different expression using different techniques to show the emotions like happy, sad or depressed.  His distinctive personal style emanates joy, peace and tells stories about what is in a person’s heart as the face is a window to a person’s heart.  He captures these emotions on canvas knowing that whatever that piece means to him will speak a different word to others as a picture is worth a thousand words. Emmanuel currently works with Slum2school an NGO as artist in residence teaching kids from the slums on what it takes to be an artist and an entrepreneur. He also visits IDP (Internally Displaced People) camp and orphanages to make donations from his art proceeds to support them. Art to me is a means of self-expression. I am a story teller and I welcome you to join me on this visual journey because the journey is a reward. Emmanuel has been invited to the Florence Biennale.
