“This was my initial attempt at intaglio printing. This print gave me a lot of insights into the overall process. The piece is about the inextricable connection between man and nature. In many contemporary societies, it is thought that there is a dichotomy between man and nature. Man is seen as the master or transcendent of nature. I created an etching of a man with hair made of foliage. This symbolizes that man and nature are connected on both a physical and metaphysical”. – Henry Grandison
